My Story

Hey, I’m Catherine, but most people call me Cat. It is a pleasure to meet you.

I’m 37, Australian, and a mum of two beautiful children.

I grew up in a loving family and I am very grateful for my childhood and upbringing. I was a ‘good girl’ growing up. I was shy, introverted and hardworking. I set myself high expectations. I struggled to make and keep friends during school years. Always feeling like the outsider.

As soon as I completed high school and gained independence, I started to rebel. Addiction covered most of my life in my twenties to thirty’s. I saw many of my friends and family struggling with addictions. Many of my close friends and family members lost their life due to overdose or suicide.

For me, alcohol was my drug of choice. I drank for fun, I drank to numb, I drank to de-stress. All of a sudden, I found myself 17 years later still drinking daily.

I came to a dead end in my life. I was stuck in all areas of my life. Nothing was fun anymore, there was no light.

Although from the outside, my life looked amazing – I had two beautiful children, a good paying corporate job, a beautiful house, loving husband .. but inside I was a train wreck.

I was highly stressed on a daily basis. I was feeling depressed, anxious, out of balance, guilt, shame and living in so much fear. Not to mention the internal damage I had caused to my gut and body and what example was I setting for my children?!

I couldn’t get through a day of work without feeling exhausted and needing a drink. Something had to change!!

Even though I was feeling symptoms of anxiety and depression, I felt too embarrassed to go to the doctor to get a diagnosis or medications. And there was no way I was going to AA. I felt there had to be another way

My ah-ha moment came when I decided to take control of my own life. I got myself into this mess. Only I could get myself out.

Instead of blame and shame.. I got a coach which shifted my life towards personal growth and bettering myself.  I loved it so much that I started studying to become a coach myself.

I finally started to do the work. I gave myself permission to put myself first and tuned inwards in order to heal.

My journey took time. For 17 years I had been living behind a mask. I spent about 2 years studying myself. I studied my past evets, past conditioning, programs, my beliefs and values.

I found that I was giving a lot of attention to what had happened in the past and the negative energy around the past was consuming my life.

My attention shifted from fear, hate and self-blame to self-acceptance and love. I started to embrace my past and my emotions, reframe and honour my past and really understand it. I came to believe that life was happening FOR me.. instead of to me..

This shift in me from fear to love allowed my life to light up. I became free to start living my life. Limitless possibilities started to unfold before me. I was able to quit my corporate job and pursue my soul’s desire of helping others.

My journey has allowed me to heal the wounds of my past, eliminate anxiety and fears for the future and find and accept my true authentic self in the present moment.

From doing the work and dealing with my stuff, I have created a life in which I am in control. It doesn’t matter what is going on in the outside world, I know that I am in control of my internal state.

I am proud of my journey and my past, because it has made me the person I am today.

When I started to look after myself, everything else in my life was positively affected. The ripple effect of self-love stemmed into improved business, health, relationships, kids, everything!!!

My focus now is helping people to overcome depression and anxiety naturally. Too many people I speak with have experienced years of counselling and medications and are still struggling daily.

I am a certified Life Coach with a bachelor degree and post graduate qualification. I am certified in NLP, Master Hypnosis, Timeline and Level 2 Reiki. I am also currently studying my Masters.

I finally found a balance;- Let me show you how...

For me, balance means: I am productive without the stress.

Having a balance to me means.. I am centered.. I am grounded.. I am self aware and mindful throughout the day. I have taken the time to deal with my stuff.. process and integrate my past. So I can stand in the present moment with no negative emotions stemming from the past.

I make time to do the things I love and feel productive without the stress.

Stress has always been a huge issue all my life and I can now take the time to get on top of my stress levels. I have time now to breathe and 'just be'.

How to Clear Money Blocks

Do you have unconscious beliefs about money that are holding you back from achieving success?

Some common money blocks are: Making money is hard, with wealth comes greed, selfishness and arrogance, I don't deserve money. I have trouble spending money or money is evil.

These steps below have really helped me clear money blocks:

1 - Awareness

90% of clearing money blocks is awareness of the stories you tell yourself.

What are your money blocks? 

Take a breath and write down everything that comes to your head when you think about money. Is this list mostly positive or negative. This will give you a good indication of any limiting beliefs about money.

How does money make you feel? If any negative feelings come up, this could mean you are resisting money and therefore blocking yourself from success

Get really clear on where you are now (your point A) and where you want to end up (your point B)

2 - Understand where the belief came from

Ask your unconscious mind where did this belief come from? Most of our beliefs are formed in childhood. Trust what comes up for you. Your old belief served you at some point. It now no longer serves you.

3 - Replace and rewire in new belief

This comes from the thinking that our beliefs create our reality.

How will you choose to view money now?

How will you change your mindset to view money differently?

Replace your old belief with a new powerful belief about money "There is an abundance of money" "Money flows easily to me always" "The more I make, the more I can give to people"

Reinforce and practice your new belief until it becomes a habit. Use Affirmations!

4 - Take Action

Take Action to make success happen. Step into your new reality

Focus on what you DO want, instead of what you don't want

Raise your vibrations by doing what you love

Match your vibration to what you want to receive

The Power of Journaling


Why I journal?

Journaling is a powerful tool to clear your mind and unpack what’s going on in your life.

Journaling is the avenue to go within, a place to let your mind wander and a place to reflect and organise your thoughts. 

Journaling has been seen to reduce stress and overwhelm, reduce physical pain and health concerns, heal emotional wounds and resolve inner conflicts. Journaling is a powerful tool to help find inspiration and motivation and manifest the life of your dreams.

Most importantly, journaling is a tool to gain awareness.

We cannot change what we are not aware of, and once we are aware, we cannot help but change”.    Sheryl Sandberg

I journal to firstly become aware of myself, what’s going on and my inner dialogue. If I discover that some changes need to occur, then I set the intention to make some positive changes.

The question I ask myself daily is - Am I moving closer to, or further away from my goals?


Research shows that people who write down their intentions have a higher chance of reaching them.

Starting my day with a positive mindset by journaling has a powerful effect on my whole day.


I created a daily journal that transformed my life. This journal began as a healing paradigm for myself. As it has worked so well for me, I am so grateful for the opportunity to share with you this FREE GIFT. 

4 My 3 Jars

In 2018 when I wanted to quit alcohol, I set up 3 jars; ‘For Me’, ‘For Others’ and ‘For my Purpose’ (inspired by Barefoot Investor by Scott Pape). Every night when I did not drink, I put $1 into each jar. If I slipped up one night, I did not beat myself up or feel guilty, my jars just did not get fed that night. Look at my jars 6 months later!!! I used the ‘For Me’ jar to get my dreadlocks, I used the ‘For my Purpose’ jar to help me set up my coaching business and I used the money in the ‘For Others’ jar to buy food and toiletries for people accessing Community Support Frankston Homeless Services. These jars helped me to save money and were also a great incentive to keep me following my path. This concept can work for smoking or any other addiction or habit you wish to beat.
